The Wisdom Behind Prayer

As Salaamu Alaikum,

From the Book Minhaj Al-Muslim:

Prayer purifies and chastens the soul, it qualifies the servant for salvation in this life and the Hereafter, it prevents him from immorality and evil deeds.  Allah the Almight says: "And perfrom As-Salah.  Verily, As-Salah prevents from Al-Fahsha (immorality) and Al-Munkar (evil deeds)." Surah Al-Ankabut Ayat 45

Hadith:

When the Messenger of Allah (SAW) was asked: "Which deed is the best?" He said, "Performing Salah at its due time.  The parable of the five prayers is the like of a fresh river before the door of one of you where he washes himself five times a day. What filth would that man have?" They said, "None." He said, "The five prayers remove the sins the same way that water removes the filth."

Allah has been merciful enough to give us a way to be closer to Him and to cleanses our souls throughout the day... do not deny that which He has bestowed upon us!  najlavision

  1. "..it qualifies the servant for salvation in this life and the Hereafter, it prevents him from immorality and evil deeds." Which of Allah's favors will we deny!?
Subhanallah I was just speaking with a young woman who was a Jahovah's witness, about salvation in Islam..
For sharing, for the reminder, may Allah reward you!
